Book Review by Charlotte Foreman

If you’re looking for a serious, meaningful read then this is the book for you. The story mainly consists of a series of lectures from the wise Sam to wayward youth Andrew, as Sam tries to teach Andrew the rightful way to go through life, and how people should value themselves and those around them.

The reading is hard going at times but the plot is original and thought-provoking, with a little light relief coming from the book’s underlining plot of Andrew’s relationship with his parents and his discovery of the female species. If you find yourself getting bogged under by the dignity monologues, stick with it as the book has a great moral and a truly heartwarming ending.
